David Green President, Broker
Co-founder and president of Financial Insurance Consultants, David has been helping individuals, families, and businesses with their insurance and investment needs since 1982. Starting out at one of Canada’s largest insurers, David’s success as an advisor led to other key roles such as trainer, sales manager and financial centre manager. In 1999, David decided to go back to working with clients directly, joining forces with Ben Herberman, a renowned advisor in Toronto since 1945, and recipient of several industry distinctions. In time, they founded Financial Insurance Consultants, which David has solely owned and managed since Ben’s retirement in 2010.
Michael Green Broker
Mike recently joined Financial Insurance Consultants after graduating with honours from the Business Insurance program at Seneca College and becoming licensed as an advisor. He brings a 21st-century perspective to the team, and will expand our ability to serve our clients, reach new clients, and ensure business continuity into the years ahead.
Erika Krausz Consultant, Broker
Erika started her career in the late 1980s, working as an advisor under David, then moved to the head office of a major Canadian insurer to pursue other career paths within the industry, including communications, marketing, compliance, and management. She was the company Ombudsman for eight years, and served as a founding member, then Chair, of the industry association’s Consumer Complaints Officers’ section. Working as an independent consultant since 2008, Erika brought her knowledge and experience to Financial Insurance Consultants, at first to help manage the brokerage’s rapid growth, then by becoming relicensed as an advisor in order to work directly with clients as well.
Esther Costa Executive Assistant
Esther has worked as David’s right-hand for over ten years, providing a key presence for clients and suppliers alike as he spends much of his time on the go and in meetings. Esther has spent most of her career working in the insurance industry, including several years as part of the administrative team at the financial centre that David managed. Her experience and skills keep Financial Insurance Consultants running smoothly in an increasingly complex and rapidly changing business environment.
